Summary of the presentation:
In my speeches, I focus on mental health advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and the importance of culturally responsive care. I share stories from my work at Norooz Clinic Foundation, where I’ve spent over a decade serving underserved communities across Orange County. I also talk about the realities of breaking mental health stigma, building a diverse behavioral health workforce, and navigating the challenges of running a nonprofit. A lot of what I share comes from my own lived experience, growing up as an immigrant, healing from intergenerational trauma, and finding my voice as a leader.
My goal is always to make the conversation honest, relatable, and rooted in community. I’m passionate about breaking down stigmas around mental health by teaching people that it’s okay to seek help and by offering resources that empower them to do so. I’m especially committed to mentoring youth and young professionals, helping them see their own potential, navigate challenges, and feel supported in both their personal and career journeys. With a background in both psychology and law, I also offer a unique lens into how systems impact mental health and access to care.
I tailor my presentations to the audience, whether it’s youth, professionals, or community members, and can speak on topics such as general mental health, burnout, trauma-informed leadership, stress management, and how to build a supportive culture around wellness.
