Presentation Summary

We are happy to tailor our presentation to the needs of a specific group. Typically, our presentations highlight the work of New Day for Children, a national nonprofit bringing hope and healing to youth rescued from sex trafficking in America. We show how adults—parents, grandparents, and caregivers—can take practical steps to protect children and learn the warning signs of exploitation, while sharing how New Day provides long-term, trauma-informed care, including safe housing, therapy, education, mentoring, and family support.

Although the topic is serious, the presentation is upbeat and emphasizes education, prevention, and the transformative power of compassionate care, illustrating how informed adults can help protect children, support those who have been rescued, and empower them to heal, thrive, and reclaim hope for a bright and happy future.

Background

Bio

New Day for Children is a national nonprofit dedicated to bringing hope and healing to children rescued from sex trafficking across the United States. With the largest and ever-growing network of trusted partner programs in the country serving child survivors of sex trafficking, New Day connects each child to the residential program best suited to their needs and supplements or covers the cost for their long-term, trauma-informed, restorative care.

Founded in 2009 in response to the growing crisis—and the lack of specialized care for children exploited in this way—New Day provides safe housing, trauma-informed therapy, education, life skills training, ongoing mentorship, and many other services, including family therapy, giving each child and their family the support they need to heal and move forward with hope, dignity, and a brighter future.
