Overview

Beach Cities Interfaith Services (BCIS) works in the greater Orange County region to assist those who are at risk of becoming homeless. We do this with grants that average under $1000. BCIS may pay for a car repair bill when the owner has to decide between fixing the car to get to work or paying the rent. We’ve been called when a marshal is scheduled to remove a resident in less than 24-hours and kept them in their home. We provide funds to furnish homes when a previously homeless family finds their way to stable housing, but they don’t have the funds to make it habitable. We assisted 40 previously homeless seniors with security deposits at the recently built Pelican Harbor that was developed jointly with Jamboree Housing and Huntington Beach. https://www.latimes.com/socal/daily-pilot/news/story/2025-03-26/new-huntington-beach-complex-offers-comfort-for-formerly-homeless-seniors
