Fred began his full-time real estate career in 1986 at the age of 21 and continues to service clients at a high level to this day. In the fall of 1994, he began calling local football games as a play-by-play announcer. He has also had a turn as a ring announcer, announcing boxing matches throughout California, including Los Angeles’ Kia Forum for HBO. In 2011, FoxSportsWest offered him a play-by-play contract and he has called hundreds of games including football, basketball, baseball, hockey and volleyball. Fred is currently calling games for Spectrum Sports Net.
Fred started his family in 1999 with the birth of his oldest son Jeffrey, followed by Hanah in 2000 and his youngest son, Jack, in 2007. Fred, his wife Jessica and the kids enjoyed lots of vacations, adventures and loved being together.
Tragedy came on February 1, 2018, when Fred and Jessica suffered the loss of their ten year old son, Jack, to an asthma attack in their home. Jack was a star in the classroom and on the football field. Being the selfless young boy he was, Jack became an organ donor saving 5 lives.
In 2019, Fred and Jessica launched the Live Like Jack Foundation to lead the drive to encourage as many people as possible to become registered organ donors. This non-profit 501(c)3 is spreading the importance of saving lives through organ donation.
Five years to the day of losing Jack, Fred began a series of speaking engagements covering Jack's short life, the importance of being an organ donor and the history of organ donation in the United States. It is a powerful message about saving lives that resonates with everyone and the speech is known as “The 10 Year Gift”.
