Presentation Summary

What does an estate planning attorney do? An estate planning attorney at our estate planning law firm helps individuals and families create legally binding documents that determine what happens to their assets, their minor children, and their healthcare decisions if they die or become incapacitated. Without a plan in place, California law makes those decisions for you, typically through a costly, time-consuming court process called probate.

Background

Bio

Brett began his legal and professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of the largest accounting, tax, and consulting firms in the world. That foundation, steeped in tax-related strategic advising and complex asset structures, informs everything he does for clients today.

When Brett transitioned to estate law, he brought that analytical background with him. Where many attorneys focus purely on document drafting, Brett approaches each plan as an integrated strategy: understanding a client’s full financial picture, identifying tax exposure, and building a plan that protects assets not just at death, but throughout a lifetime.

He earned his Juris Doctor from Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law in Orange, California — one of the few law schools in the country located in the heart of the community it primarily serves. His undergraduate degree in Middle Eastern Studies and Arabic from Brigham Young University reflects both the intellectual curiosity and the cross-cultural communication skills his clients benefit from every day.
