Summary of the presentation:
I would like to introduce the Rotary to the South Coast Symphony, which serves all of Orange County. The 65 member Symphony has been presenting concerts for the past 29 years, including our Educational Outreach Programs, “Koncerts for Kids” and “Young STARS of the Future”. To date “Koncerts for Kids” has provided live symphony concerts to over 80,000 fourth and fifth graders, completely free of charge. Our “Young STARS of the Future” competition and concert has provided opportunities for very talented young musicians to both perform in concert with the Symphony and receive a $1,000 scholarship. We would like to offer an opportunity for Rotary members to volunteer with the Symphony as “Greeters.” They would welcome our patrons while enjoying a free concert.
