Presentation Summary

Since 2002, more than $50 million dollars have been co-invested in large-scale international Rotary service projects through a collaborative relationship with World Vision, one of the world’s largest global humanitarian organizations. Together, we have transformed the lives of more than 5 million people around the world. World Vision has been a collaborating partner with Rotary on 25 global grants in nearly every area of focus. In 2021, Rotary International, World Vision, and the Gates Foundation announced the launch of Rotary’s first Program of Scale, a $6M investment. In 2024, Rotary is launching a $30M program in a strategic partnership with World Vision and the Gates Foundation to combat severe disease in four African countries. The Rotary Foundation and World Vision have an approved Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for “global grants.” World Vision will provide a 1:1 match to all funds that Rotary raises. On the large-scale collaborations, multiple clubs and districts are involved in creating a lasting impact on communities around the world. A current Rotary global grant opportunity with World Vision that is open to clubs and districts to be involved in focused on village savings and loans, economic empowerment and Rotarians providing business training to loan officers.
